Callum spent most of his life growing up in Tom Price, a small town located in the Northwest of Western Australia. At the age of 19 years, he relocated to Perth in 2019.
“It was my parents influence and the years I spent in the Emergency Service Cadet Unit that inspired me to become a volunteer firefighter,” explains Callum.
Callum joined the Tom Price Volunteer Bushfire Brigade in mid-2016 and also the Tom Price Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service later on in the same year.
In 2018, Callum became a member of the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service Association Youth Committee, and he is also a representative for the Metropolitan Region.
“Some of my proudest moments include when I won the Department of Fire and Emergency Services Cadet of the Year in 2017 and in 2018 when I was awarded the DFES Junior Fire Fighter of the Year”, says Callum.
