2023 Junior State Firefighter Championships

Come along and see our juniors, aged between 11 years and 16 years, from all over the State battle it out in a variety of events over the weekend, from sprint running races to firefighter wet hose events.

The Championships have been running for over 100 years and, besides keeping our juniors fit, they teach our future volunteers important firefighter skills.

The opening ceremony starts on Saturday at 9.00am. The day will finish by 5.00pm and will recommence Sunday at 9.00am until 2.00pm followed by presentations.

Volunteer Fire & Rescue Services merchandise will be available for purchase too. From clothing to toys to drinkware and picnic blankets, there's something for everyone.
