Nominations for the 2023 WAFES Awards are now open!
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) WAFES Awards acknowledge and honour the outstanding achievements of young volunteers, individuals and brigades who have shown exceptional dedication to duty.
If you know someone who has gone above and beyond, please consider nominating them today.
There are a variety of categories including:
Firefighting Youth Achievement

Firefighting Team Achievement
To thank you for submitting a nomination, volunteers who nominate a finalist will receive an invitation to the 2023 WAFES Awards gala dinner, and the opportunity to attend the WAFES Conference from DFES, both held on on Saturday, 9 September 2023.
There are some great cash prizes for finalists and winners, and eligible individual award winners will be invited to attend the 2024 AFAC Conference with all expenses paid.
Please don’t miss this opportunity to recognise a volunteer or your team who has made an outstanding contribution over the last year.
