Recently Ken O'Reilly announced his resignation from his role as the executive officer at Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services Association.
Ken's last day with VFRSA will be Friday, 21 October 2022. During Ken's final weeks, he will be tidying up some outstanding issues and assisting in the recruitment process. "It is always a bit sad when someone dedicated and passionate about this job leaves," President Paul du Boulay says. "One thing I have learnt during my service on the VFRSA executive committee is that you meet great people, you make friends for life and you get self-satisfaction that you are doing something worthwhile for our members and brigades of WA. I am sure Ken will be feeling the same and I wish him well on his new journey."
What are the VFRSA executive officer's responsibilities?
The executive officer (EO) works with the senior executive of the VFRS Association executive committee and elected VFRS representatives on matters that affects volunteers and their brigades.

We are on the search to find Ken's replacement. If you or someone you know has:
Significant experience working with or representing volunteers, in particular with VFRS volunteers
Extensive experience in planning, coordinating and directing multiple activities to meet competing priorities
Highly developed conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills
Fantastic communication skills (including written), as well as a developed ability to negotiate
The ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels
